Recently I received an e-mail from HubPages that said I was a HubNugget Nominee for one of my Recipes ‘Eating Down the Fridge‘. I felt honored that this article was chosen, but competeing against the other great writers found on HubPages I never thought it would ever win. To my great surprise I was also chosen as the winner. For Those of you who don’t know what HubPages.com is, here is a brief explanation. HubPages is a community website where the members provide content in the form of written articles. It is network of writers, followers and friends sharing their knowledge and ideas with the world. HubPages is also a way to monetize this knowledge with advertising provided by Google, Amazon, Ebay and more. Most of the writers here depend on this ad income to continue their ability to provide helpful articles for the masses.
Google adsense program pays its affiliates on a pay per click basis, and HubPages shares these clicks with the writers of the articles. Amazon pay a referral fee for those affiliates the generate sales with the ads they place in there articles. I feel the readers should know this information, because if you like the article and found it use you can show your appreciation by purchasing an amazon product, visiting an ad that interests you, and/or leave a comment. Some writers have blogs like this one when they receive 100% off the ad income generated, so it would also be kind if you took the time to visit the Huber’s other sites (usually listed on there profile page).
